Every manufacturer recommends a yearly service, and we do it the way they wrote it: a full cleaning, a safety check, and a test burn. Most maintenance visits happen between April and August, when the schedule is open and the fireplace isn't needed.

Every manufacturer asks for one service visit a year, and it's the cheapest thing you'll ever do for a fireplace. We do most of ours between April and August, while the schedule is open.
- Gas units: burner and pilot cleaning, glass cleaning, log and ember placement, blower and remote check
- Pellet units: full ash and exhaust-path cleaning, auger and igniter check, gasket inspection
- Wood units: door gasket and glass check, baffle and firebrick inspection, catalyst check where fitted
- Replacement of worn gaskets and small parts on the spot when we have them

Common Questions About Fireplace & Stove Maintenance
How often should my fireplace be serviced?
Once a year, per every manufacturer we carry. Gas units can sometimes stretch it, but pellet and wood appliances really do need the yearly cleaning to burn safely and efficiently.
Why April to August?
That's when the schedule is wide open and the fireplace isn't in use. Book then and you'll have your pick of dates and a unit that's ready long before the first frost.
Do you service units from other dealers?
We gladly service any brand of stove or fireplace we feature. If you bought it somewhere else but it's a brand we carry, you're welcome here.
Is annual maintenance the same as a chimney sweep?
No. We service the appliance itself. We no longer do chimney sweeping, and we'll happily point you to someone who does.
